HF35 Microwave monitorWith the MW-GSHFE35C - HF/Microwave Monitor you can find out where the microwaves you are exposed to are coming from. It is a directional instrument that allows you both to hear the pulsing of the signal by producing an audible sound and to get a digital reading of the field strength. The MW35 microwave monitor does need some technical knowledge and/or experience to be able to take and interpret the readings. Please note that this instrument comes complete with the UBB27 Broadband Antenna which costs over £300 if bought separately. |

HF35 DG20.G3 AttenuatorAlthough it's an "optional" extra, we recommend strongly that you also purchase the DG20.G3 Attenuator as the instrument will very easily exceed the scale it can measure otherwise. The DG20.G3 Attenuator is a 20dB attenuator. This lowers the incoming signal power by a factor of 100, allowing you to take measurements up to 199.99 mW/m² (199,990 μW/m²). In signal strength terms, this raises the maximum reading from 0.86 V/m to 8.6 V/m. In many urban areas, signals will exceed 0.86 V/m, so being able to read above this is important. This attenuator is specially designed to allow power to flow through it, allowing it to work in conjunction with the UBB27 Broadband Antenna, which will not work with many attenuators. |

We like this calibrated wideband (27 MHz - 3.3 GHz) RF meter not only for its switch which allows a choice of peak or average indication mode, but also for its two antennae. These permit accurate measurement of a wide range of both digital and analog signals. In addition, you get a choice of audio tone: none, intensity proportional to field strength or proportional to frequency (for analysing pulsed signals).
From 27 MHz it will detect CB radio, TETRA, and analogue / digital TV and radio, as well as the mobile phone frequencies typically supported by radiofrequncy monitors (GSM, UMTS, WiFi).
