France leads the way in reducing RF exposure

Decisions to reduce radiofrequency (RF) exposure to the general public is going one step further in France.

On 26th November, 16 French towns (selected from the 283 volunteers) were chosen for an experimental reduction of the maximum public radiation level to 0.6V/m, the level recommended by the BioInitiative Report.

11 other towns were chosen to participate in new consultation procedures.

The current French limit (which are the ICNIRP levels of up to 61 V/m, the same as the UK), was agreed by Lionel Jospin, former Prime Minister on the advice of Jean-Noël Tronc, who subsequently was employed by France Telecomm, and then became Director General of Orange France, a subsidiary of France Telecomm. No vested interests there, then!
