The screening fabric materials all contain fine wires that have the material around them so they are not exposed - i.e. you cannot see them just by looking at the fabric. Before purchasing material, you may want to look at the following information about the effectiveness of the different materials and how to adequately look after them. This will help you decide on the best product for your requirements:

The BlocBag provides individual screening from microwave radiation. This may be an ideal solution when a canopy is not possible. This could be, for example, if you are in rented accommodation, and do not wish to screw a hook into the ceiling, or you are visiting friends or relations who have, or are exposed to sources of RF, or you are going on holiday and do not know what RF you may have to face there. The BlocBag also has a translucent head cover made of Chromax material to protect your head whilst sleeping. This is not shown in the picture, but is included.

Naturell is a lightweight, fine woven white cotton material with hidden silver plated threads. It is 2.5 metres wide, is translucent allowing plenty of light through, whilst restricting visibility from outside. It is our most effective material, and ideal for bed canopies, clothing, blinds or curtain lining.
Electrocloth is a heavyweight material and is a stone/light beige colour cotton material, interwoven with stainless steel threads. It is 1.44 metres wide, but restricts both visibility and lighting, making it ideal for curtain linings and blinds.
Chromax is a lightweight polyester mesh, intertwined with silver-plated copper wires. It is 2.5 metres wide, white in colour, and has a minimal impact on visibility and lighting. It is ideal for net curtains or bed canopies.
We offer a wide range of bed canopies, which are made to order, and not held in stock (taking around 2 weeks), so don't worry if you see a stock level of 0 - we will still be able to get them! All canopy types are available in both Chromax and Naturell materials, and if your bed is not a "normal" type, then let us know, as we can custom make canopies to fit (although be aware that custom canopies will be more expensive).

Important note about canopy dimensions:
It is important to measure your bed size, as the dimensions can vary considerably between (e.g) one single bed and another single bed. You may need a larger canopy if your bed has a headboard or footboard, as they increase the "size" of your bed. If your bed has both a headboard and a footboard, you will certainly need the next size up. If the headboard or footboard is particularly high, you will probably need the largest bed size canopy (or a custom one).

Dome Canopy:The drop from the top of the dome canopy is 2 metres. In addition to this, there is a 0.5m length of elasticated cord from the roof to extend to the ceiling fixing (usually a hook). Depending on the height of the ceiling, the cord can be adjusted. Canopies with longer drops can also be made, but these are classed as custom canopies (the cost is not likely to be very much more, unless you want far longer drop).
Fourposter Canopy:The drop from the top of the four poster canopy to the floor is 2 metres. There are 8 extension cords to fix the canopy to the ceiling to keep it firmly in place; one at each corner and one midway down each of the 4 sides.
VAT exemption is available on all canopies for electrosensitive people, but you will need to sign an exemption form or make sure that the box on your profile declaring you to be electrosensitive is ticked, before placing your order. (if placing the order by phone, we need a signed form, if placing the order online, tick the box. Ticking the box on your profile is not sufficient if placing an order by phone).
You will need to screen underneath your bed as well as using the canopy, especially if there are sources of RF radiation beneath the room. If you have not screened underneath the bed then it is not fully enclosed and the canopy will not be as effective. If your bedroom is on the ground floor, you may not need to screen underneath it, especially if the canopy touches the floor all round, as no RF can enter the canopy from an outside source by reflecting off the floor.

Shipping information for paint
We are not able to deliver paint orders to the Isle of Man or Guernsey due to the difficulties of getting couriers to accept paint shipments. We can ship to an address on the mainland if set up as the delivery address, if you have a friend or family member, who could then bring it to you from there.

RF Screening paint (carbon) - Blocpaint
Blocpaint stops over 99.9% of incoming radiation across all mobile phone frequencies, TETRA, 2G, 3G, LTE (4G), WiFi and WiMax. The paint is easy to apply, is water based and can be used inside the house, on walls, ceilings and floors, or on outside walls. One coat covers about 5-7 sq m per litre depending on porosity and surface profile of the substrate. It can be applied with a brush, roller or it can even be spray painted.
If you intend to wallpaper over either Yshield or Blocpaint, you must apply a coat of emulsion to seal the screening carbon paint before applying wallpaper paste.
RF Screening paint (carbon) - YShield
YShield screening paint stops over 99.9% of incoming radiation across all mobile phone frequencies, TETRA, 2G, 3G, LTE (4G), WiFi and WiMax. The paint is easy to apply, is water based and can be used inside the house, on walls, ceilings and floors, or on outside walls. One coat covers about 7 square metres per litre. Yshield recommend that the paint should only be applied with a long pile roller (due to the length of the carbon molecules in the paint).
All units of window film incur an additional £12.50 cutting and boxing charge (plus VAT).
Radiofrequency fields such as those from mobile phone masts pass straight through window glass. This window film is available either for you to install directly, with the help of our instructional DVD, or to be professionally installed for you. We offer three different sorts of film (the best is at the top of the list; then in descending order of screening effectiveness):
Hilite - The most expensive, but extremely transparent and the most effective at shielding, blocking over 99.99% of RF power.
Sterling 20 - A considerably darker film, but cheaper and close to the shielding of Hilite. Perfect for use in a bedroom.
Sterling 50 - Less effective than the other two films, but similar priced to Sterling 20 and lets more light through. Still 99% shielding effectiveness.

Headnets
These headnets can be worn straight over your head, or over a hat (as shown here) to protect your head from microwave exposure. Many people find that wearing the headnet at night improves their quality of sleep dramatically, reducing the number of times they wake during the night.
Do not use shampoos or other hair products containing lauryl sulphate during the time you are using the headnet. The sulphur residues in your hair reduce the screening properties of the headnet and will discolour it. To clean the headnet, wipe down with a damp cloth (do not use any washing product, as using the wrong sort can completely break down the shielding) and line dry it outside to air it.
This clothing is a white mesh material, made from silver plated strands of copper woven into Tergal® polyester. It is washable (by hand or a gentle cycle, low temp in a machine). Chromax EMF clothing can also be hired.
As well as the range of Chromax clothing detailed above, Dyane from "Dyane's Stitch In Time" makes clothing from other materials including blouses, jackets, trousers and vests, smocks, etc.
